What’s your average day like?
For me an average day is 20% with family and 80% office work. Even though I spent most of the time at work, I consider it as my second family

How would you describe your journey at Paynear?
It has been a wonderful experience for me both on a professional and personal level. Having worked with a young and dynamic management team with such deep knowledge on payments has increased my understanding of the payment industry. The foremost thing which I like is the trust and confidence they have on us. I feel proud, happy and also lucky for being associated with Paynear.

What challenges do you face in your position?
Decision making is the biggest challenge. Finance manager position is for those who are good with managing money and dealing with people from different departments.

What is your most memorable experience in your career?
There are a couple of them – one was the audit of HCA (Hyderabad Cricket Stadium) and also the interaction with BCCI. I had the privilege to view the IPL match from the empires room. Also, the one month project on Capital Gains, which resulted in saving a crore on tax. I was gifted with a laptop by MD R.G Patwari.

What’s the secret behind you been able to balance your professional and personal life so well?
The support from both the families – personally and professionally.

What gift have you received that you will always treasure
The gift of education is the highest gift one can receive – my qualification (CA & CS). Also, my husband & Paynear.

What is something that only a few people know about you?
Honest and soft cornered

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?
I would like to be India’s Finance Minister for a day. As the FM, I will allocate more funds for education. Today education plays an important role in molding students; especially in rural and underdeveloped areas. Next I will make reforms in health funds and see to that we spend more money for health. Presently our country is spending only 7-8 % of the budget. Also, I would modify lot many tax regimes and try to eradicate black money completely.

What is one favorite thing you do by yourself?
Solving practical problems

If money and time was no object, what would you be doing right now?
I would definitely be a teacher. It was a small challenge with my sister that made me to do CA.

Are you sunrise, daylight, twilight, or night? Please share why you picked your time of day?
I love early morning sunrise that comes with vitamin D, chirping of birds, the fresh mind & fresh thoughts to start your day.

What are the names of three exotic countries you would like to visit?
In order of sequence – Dubai, Singapore and USA.
