Team Member Spotlight – Preeti from Admin
What’s your role at Paynear?
Being in the administration department, I have to interact and be in touch with all the other departments of the company. It’s my responsibility to help whoever needs support of the front office in various activities. The two most important aspects of my role are coordination and communication. I keep learning a lot in my role and that keeps me happy.
What’s your average day like?
Each day comes with its own tasks and challenges. When I wake up, I mentally prepare myself for the whole day’s activities and walk through my priorities for the day. Beginning with making the first meal of the day for my family to getting my lil kid up and out. Official work starts with the phone calls and sometimes it gets pretty difficult to handle so many merchants calling for status updates.
What keeps you busy outside the work life?
Apart from work, I’m occupied with my son and try to spend maximum time with him. I make sure to take him out on holidays and on weekends.
How would you describe your 1 year journey at Paynear?
Paynear is like a family to me and my second home. The support from the management and team members has helped me grow a lot and I whole heartedly say that working in a new company like Paynear has made my journey wonderful. Challenges and changes are part of life, which I have faced in one year. It’s just great to be part of Paynear.
If Bollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see play your role and why?

Keeping the team updated, communicating with them for upcoming office events or festival celebrations is I what I enjoy the most. This keeps team spirit high and provides quality time to discuss things in general.
If someone visited in Mumbai for the first time, which best three food items would you recommend?
I’d recommend ‘Vada Pav’ – the most popular snack in Mumbai. It is also called as the Indian Burger here. Secondly it has to be the world famous Panipuri which you get only in Mumbai and last but not the least ‘Pav Bhaj’.
What is something that makes you unique, that only a few people know about you?
I’m a working professional and homemaker, managing both the priorities of my life. Multitasking is a challenge that I face every day, which I make sure to overcome and achieve at the end of the day. It’s a feeling only very few people can experience.
What is one thing you couldn’t live without? And why?
Water. Necessity of every human being.
If you could change one thing about working here, what would it be?
I don’t think we need any change at Paynear, we are always growing and upgrading ourselves.
If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be? And why?
I would want to be a superhero with the powers of identifying places where corruption happens and bring an end to it. When I think about corruption, I think about common individuals like you and me. I think about us and our society. Corruption is one million times bigger than Mount Everest and the same amount of times deeper than any ocean.
What was the best vacation you ever took?
It has to be the vacation at Udaipur. It is the best historic place I had visited so far. It’s a fascinating city with larger than life palace, the Lake Palace and Lake Pichola. You get the best handicrafts and jewelry in Udaipur. Also, some mouthwatering sweets such as ghewar, kaju patisa and sangam barfi.
If you won a lottery of 10 lakh rupees, what would you do?
First thing that comes to mind is shopping. Also visiting my dream destination – Maldives. I would also donate to orphanage.
Lastly, you’re a mother of a sweet child, juggle work and family life, and still manage look very beautiful and fit. What is your secret mantra?
Hahaha…There is no special diet or any exercise that I follow. I just follow my heart. Love yourself regardless of you been rich or poor, beautiful or ugly, successful or just started your career journey – that is the only MANTRA.
